Kommende Woche Dienstag beginnt offiziell die League of Legends Weltmeisterschaft 2021 in Island! Die Worlds 2021 ist eines der prestigeträchtigsten E-Sport-Turniere der Welt und wird auch in diesem Jahr wieder mit der Play-In Stage eingeläutet. Doch was wäre ein großes, internationales Sport-Event, ohne das nötige Drumherum?
Zur Inszenierung der Worlds gehört bei Riot Games traditionell auch ein eigener Song, der zur Stimmung rund um den Wettbewerb beiträgt. Unvergessen dürften beispielsweise die Tracks „Warriors“ oder auch „RISE“ sein, die ihre Wettbewerbe wirklich zu prägen vermochten. Teilweise erstellt die Community sogar Rankings, wie gut sie welchen Song zu welcher LoL Weltmeisterschaft fanden. Nachdem 2020 „Take Over (ft. Jeremy McKinnon (A Day To Remember), MAX, Henry)“ der offizielle Soundtrack zu den Worlds waren, kennen wir nun auch den Song für die Worlds 2021.

In der Nacht vom gestrigen Dienstag auf den heutigen Mittwoch wurde der Song „Burn It All Down (ft. PVRIS)“ vom Riot Music Team veröffentlicht. Wie schon im vergangenen Jahr sehen wir im zugehörigen Musikvideo einen optisch beeindruckenden Anime, in dem wiederum viele der bekanntesten E-Sportler in League of Legends als Charaktere auftreten. Sie übernehmen dort die Fähigkeiten einiger ihrer beliebtesten oder am besten gespielten Champions, um sich gegenseitig zu bekämpfen.
Aber auch musikalisch weiß das Riot Music Team, in diesem Fall in Zusammenarbeit mit PVRIS, Alex Seaver aka Mako, Eric J sowie Mike Bozzi von Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood, abermals zu überzeugen.
